How far ahead to book a luxury Komodo charter

The working rule is short: ask for the date as soon as your flights are fixed. For a party of ten to sixteen, the flights are what limit the date, not the yacht.

A deposit of 50 percent is paid on acceptance of the written quote, and the balance falls due 30 days before sailing. If plans change, a cancellation 60 days or more ahead returns 50 percent, and one from 30 to 59 days returns 25 percent.

A move to another date costs nothing 30 days or more before sailing, and IDR 500,000 from 14 to 29 days.

Fix the headcount first, because it moves the rate more than the month does. On Voyage 2 a party of 10 pays IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270) for 3D2N, and an 11th guest moves the whole yacht to IDR 220,000,000 (≈ USD 13,497). On Voyage 1 the rate holds to 12 guests and the 13th to 16th each add IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399).

When the headcount is not fixed, send us the lower and the higher figure together with the dates, and we price both bands in the same written quote so that nothing has to be re-asked once the flights are booked and the party has agreed who is travelling.

The open-trip calendar lists 64 dates in all: 56 on Voyage 1, which sails on Monday and Friday, and 8 on Voyage 2. The next is Friday, 11 December 2026.

Seats and whole yachts are different products. A private charter takes the whole yacht, so a date it holds is not listed as an open trip. An open-trip date is a sailing with other guests aboard, sold by the suite from IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) a person. A hosted event needs the whole yacht, so it needs a date that no seat has taken. Missing date? Ask: the answer may be that the yacht is held, or that it is free for a private charter.

Voyage 2 has no open-trip date before Friday, 7 May 2027, when it begins sailing on Fridays.

2026 rates run to 31 December 2026; rates for 2027 are sent in writing before you pay a deposit. Availability for 2027 is given yacht by yacht. Voyage 1 sails open trips on Monday and Friday; Voyage 2 sails on Friday.

Send the party size, the preferred month and one alternative. We reply with what each yacht can offer, and nothing is held until you accept the written quote and pay the deposit. A party that can move by a few days should say so, because it widens the choice across both yachts and across the open-trip and private calendars. The month table is on the when-to-book page.
