Executive offsite on a yacht: a two-day agenda for ten principals
Updated 27 October 2026
Ten principals fit one Lamain yacht on a 2D1N charter, chartered whole at 2026 rates, with Voyage 2 or Voyage 1 as the choice. Sessions happen on deck, and the island stops are the breaks. Local Wi-Fi is on board; print the papers and bring your own screen.
The premise: ten principals, one night, one yacht
Ten principals, two days and one night afloat, on a yacht chartered whole so that nobody else is aboard. It's a 2D1N charter, out of Labuan Bajo and back, and either of two yachts will do.
Voyage 2 charges one rate for 1 to 10 guests, IDR 118,000,000 (≈ USD 7,239), or IDR 11,800,000 (≈ USD 724) each at ten. Voyage 1 charges one rate for 1 to 12, IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748), or IDR 11,000,000 (≈ USD 675) each at ten. Voyage 2 has 8 suites and 13 on the crew list; Voyage 1 has 6 suites and 8.
Both figures are 2026 whole-yacht rates. Park tickets, flights and gratuities are paid on top.
Who sleeps where: the suite assignment for ten
This is where arithmetic takes over. If all ten principals want a suite to themselves, neither yacht works: Voyage 2 has 8 suites, Voyage 1 has 6.
On Voyage 2 the 8 suites take ten as 6 used singly and 2 shared (6 + 2 × 2 = 10). Borobudur, on the upper deck, with a king bed and the only jacuzzi balcony, is the chair's suite. Eiffel, also on the upper deck with a king bed, goes to the second principal. Big Ben and Liberty are main-deck suites with queen beds. Petra, Colosseum, Taj Mahal and Pyramid are lower-deck suites, also with queen beds.
The two shared suites go to the two pairs who already travel together. Voyage 1 turns this on its head: 6 suites take ten as 2 single and 4 shared (2 + 4 × 2 = 10), so eight of the ten share.
The ratio line: 13 on the crew list for 10 guests on Voyage 2, and 8 for 10 guests on Voyage 1. Add four staff and the party is 14, which moves Voyage 2 into its 11 to 16 band, IDR 126,000,000 (≈ USD 7,730) for the yacht.
A two-day agenda tied to the 2D1N route
Write the agenda in blocks rather than clock times. Weather and current set the order of the stops, and the blocks have to move with them.
Day 1
- Pickup, boarding, lunch. Pickup in Labuan Bajo, with the time and meeting point confirmed in writing. Lunch is on board.
- Session one, on deck. One question, stated on one page, with a decision owner for each part. 45 minutes.
- Break: Kelor Island. A hill walk and a swim.
- Session two. The working block. Menjerite Point, for a swim or snorkel, follows it.
- Kalong Island at sunset. No session. Dinner is on board.
Day 2
- Breakfast on board, then session three. Decisions and owners, read back by each principal.
- Break: Padar Island walk. Shoes with grip, and water.
- Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar. A swim and snorkel, then a walk with a ranger. Closed shoes and the park ticket are needed on Komodo.
- Return. Back in Labuan Bajo on day 2, with the time confirmed in writing. Book onward flights after that confirmation.
What the yacht gives a meeting, and what it does not
Voyage 1 has an indoor lounge with an L-shaped sofa, an indoor dining room, outdoor dining on deck and an outdoor bar. Voyage 2 has an indoor saloon with a bar, an indoor dining table and sofas along the windows, outdoor dining under a canopy, and deck seating with an L-shaped sofa and a wooden table.
Local Wi-Fi is on board. Print the papers and bring your own screen, plan the sessions offline, and keep video calls for the day you are in Labuan Bajo.
Documentation is not part of a private charter. Nobody films your session unless you ask, and if you do, it is quoted separately.
Keeping the offsite off the record
The guest list is seen by our booking office and, as the crew list, by the yacht. With the whole yacht chartered, there is no other guest aboard and no other party on deck.
The sailing permit needs passport copies. Tell us who on your side will send them, so the booking office deals with one person.
What to send us first: the brief
The brief is what the office needs to get the yacht ready. One page will do.
- The number of principals and the number of staff, with names as on passports.
- Who shares a suite, and who must not.
- Dietary needs and allergies, per person.
- Arrival flights, so that pickup can be planned.
- The question the offsite exists to answer, in one sentence, so that the three sessions can be shaped around it.
- Preferred dates and the yacht you lean towards.
Once it's in, the person handling your file replies with availability and the charter terms. If your calendar fixes the date, say so first: a yacht that's already booked can't be moved, and we'd rather tell you in the first reply than the third.
