The opening message, line by line
Four lines are enough. Line one: the number of guests, as a figure or a range. Line two: the dates, or the month. Line three: Voyage 1, Voyage 2 or "not sure". Line four: the arrival flight, if it is known.
The first message can name the occasion without the guest list: a family gathering, a board retreat, a milestone. You do not have to say who is being celebrated, or give a surname, until the quote is accepted.
The brief. If you add diets, ages of children or a suite you want, the first reply is closer to a quote. If you add nothing else, the reply asks only for what is missing.

The mailbox and the Labuan Bajo address

WhatsApp suits dates and suites, and email suits papers. A message on either channel reaches the same file, and the person handling it sees both. Passport copies are best sent by email, once the quote is accepted and the date for them is known. The email address is the one used for the privacy requests as well, so access, correction and deletion requests reach the same mailbox.
Hours and languages
The office answers every day, 08:00 to 20:00 WITA. Write in English or Indonesian, whichever is easier for your party. The site itself is also available in other languages.
No number of minutes is promised for a reply. A message sent outside those hours is answered when the office opens, and no price is quoted in a rush, because every price and every promise has to be in writing. A party writing from another time zone should say so in the first message, so the hour of any call is agreed in advance.
The person who answers a first message
PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia is the booking partner for Lamain Voyage 1 and Lamain Voyage 2; it is not the owner. Questions about the owner's crew or the yacht's equipment come to us first, and we put them to the owner on your behalf, then answer in writing.

Can I call instead of messaging?
Start with a message, because prices and promises are made in writing. If you want a call, say so in your first message and give your time zone and a convenient hour.
Do you answer in Indonesian?
Yes. The office answers in English and Indonesian, and a message in either goes to the same file.
Is my guest list kept private?
The guest list is seen by the booking office and the crew list only. A first message does not need a single name; the occasion and the headcount are enough.
