Executive and board retreats on a Komodo yacht

Updated 27 October 2026

A retreat for ten principals fits Voyage 2's lower band: 3D2N is IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270) for the whole yacht, IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227) each, and Voyage 1 is IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589). Local Wi-Fi is on board; no speed is promised.

Local Wi-Fi, and a table for the session

Both yachts have local Wi-Fi on board; no speed, coverage or satellite service is promised. Any call fixed to a set hour belongs ashore in Labuan Bajo, before boarding or after the return.

No projector or meeting-room equipment is listed for either yacht; ask, and we confirm it in writing. Plan a session on board as a conversation round a dining table, with paper and a clear head, in the indoor lounge or dining room of Voyage 1 or the saloon of Voyage 2.

What the yacht offers is time with the same people, and no lobby or corridor shared with strangers.

Ten principals, and who shares a suite

Suite assignment for ten. Voyage 2 has eight suites, so ten guests use five of them at two to a suite, 5 × 2 = 10, with three suites free. If every principal is to sleep alone, eight is the most that yacht can take, as it has no extra beds; a delegation of ten should settle this in the brief. Borobudur and Eiffel are king suites on the upper deck; the other six are queen suites. On Voyage 1, ten guests use five of the six suites, again two to a suite, with Paris for the chair or the host.

Beds set the first limit; the crew is the second figure. Ratio line: on Voyage 2, 13 on the crew list for ten guests, more than one person to each guest; on Voyage 1, 8 for the same ten. The crew list counts 12 crew and a cruise director on Voyage 2 and 7 crew and a cruise director on Voyage 1.

Two days of agenda between Kelor and Padar

The 2D1N route leaves two windows for work. Day 1 has short legs between stops: Kelor to Menjerite Point takes 30 to 60 minutes, and Menjerite Point to Kalong 50 to 70, which suits a session round the dining table with the yacht under way. Kelor, a short steep hill walk, serves as the break. Kalong at dusk closes the day, when the flying foxes leave the mangroves about 15 minutes after sunset.

Day 2 brings Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island and Taka Makassar: walking and swimming, and little room for a long session. A team that needs a full morning of agenda should place it on day 1 and leave day 2 to the park.

The captain fixes the order of the stops each morning, so the agenda must be able to bend. Our journal carries a longer piece on an executive offsite at anchor, and the two-day charter page sets out the route day by day.

What ten principals pay on Voyage 1 and Voyage 2

Ten guests, 3D2NWhole yacht, 2026 ratesPer person
Voyage 1IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589)IDR 14,000,000 (≈ USD 859)
Voyage 2IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270)IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227)

The Voyage 2 band for 1 to 10 stops at 10 guests; an eleventh principal moves the rate up to IDR 220,000,000 (≈ USD 13,497). Voyage 1 keeps its base rate to 12. What the difference buys is the larger crew list, 13 against 8, and king suites for two principals. Park tickets, flights and gratuities sit outside both figures; a guide or documentation is quoted on request.

Confidentiality, guest list and who sees the manifest

In confidence. The guest list is seen by the booking office and the crew list only. Passport details are collected for the sailing permit, by a date set in the quote. We make no promise about what a guest posts on a personal account.

Transfers run by procedure. The pickup in Labuan Bajo is booked from the airport, a hotel or the harbour, and one named contact receives the time and meeting point in writing. The person who answers your first message handles the file to the pickup.

Confidentiality here means a short list of people who see the names.

Names, the agenda and a single point of contact

A retreat needs a shorter brief than a family.

  • The principals and their staff, with names as on the passports.
  • Diets and allergies, for the crew to plan menus.
  • Arrival flights and terminals, so the pickup is timed to the last arrival.
  • Suite assignment: who shares a suite and who needs one alone.
  • What must be reachable by phone, and at which hour, so we place it ashore.

A single contact on your side is enough. We write to that person, and the quote, the guest list and the schedule all pass through them. The per-person tables are on the charter page.

FAQ

Is Komodo suitable for a corporate retreat?

Yes, for a team of up to 16 that wants time together. Wi-Fi on board is local with no speed promised, and no meeting equipment is listed; ask, and we confirm it in writing. A retreat built on fixed calls is best held ashore.

Can we hold presentations and workshops on board?

Conversation and paper work well in the lounge, dining room or saloon. No projector or screen is listed, so print the slides or keep them on a laptop that needs no connection, or ask us to confirm what is aboard.

How do we get a delegation to Labuan Bajo?

Delegations fly to Komodo International Airport through Bali, Jakarta or Surabaya. We do not sell flight tickets. Pickup from the airport, a hotel or the harbour is part of the booking, and a Toyota HiAce seats up to 12.

Is the guest list kept private?

Names go to the booking office and the crew list, and passport details to the sailing permit; nobody else receives them. Deletion requests go to info@komodoexplorer.com.
