How to reserve a Lamain yacht: three steps and a written quote

Reserving takes three steps: message us the guest count and dates; receive a written quote; pay a 50 percent deposit and the balance 30 days before sailing. If the booked Lamain yacht cannot sail we arrange a yacht of the same class on the same date at no extra cost, or a full refund.
The first message: guests, dates, one or two yachts
A first message needs four things: the number of guests, the dates or the month, the yacht you have in mind, and the occasion, if there is one. WhatsApp is quickest, and the chat opened from this site already carries a short greeting; add the four lines to it.
You need not know which yacht you want. Write "not sure" with the headcount, and the office will choose by size and explain why: Voyage 1 for 12 guests and under at its base rate, Voyage 2 for its larger crew and king suites.
Our reply names the person who will handle your file, and that person stays with it until the pickup.

What a written quote lists
The quote gives the yacht, the route, the dates and the rate for your band in rupiah, with the dollar figure beside it, and states what sits outside the rate: the park ticket and ranger fees, flights, hotel, insurance, alcohol and crew gratuities.
Anything on request is priced on its own line: the guide and the photo and video documentation on a private charter, a larger vehicle, decoration, a special dinner.
It also gives the return time in Labuan Bajo and the menu for allergies. Prices in the quote include 11 percent VAT. Rates are 2026 rates for the whole yacht, per yacht and not per person, and the park ticket, flights, hotel, insurance and crew gratuities are paid by you.
2026 rates run to 31 December 2026; rates for 2027 are sent in writing before you pay a deposit.
Instalments and the cancellation scale in one place
A deposit of 50 percent secures the booking, and the balance falls due 30 days before sailing. Inside that window, the whole amount is due when the booking is confirmed.
The cancellation scale is short. Cancel 60 days or more before sailing and 50 percent is refunded; cancel 30 to 59 days before and 25 percent is refunded; after that, nothing. Moving a date costs IDR 500,000 inside the window shown in the table, and a later move counts as a cancellation. The tables below give the exact days; the terms page covers the rest.
Payment methods are set out in the block below. PayPal adds 7.2 percent. A card payment link shows its fee on the invoice. Bank transfers are in rupiah.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine.

Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.
Passport names, one list, before the balance
The sailing permit carries an ID for every guest. For each one we need the full name as printed in the passport and a copy of the passport page, by a date written into the quote.
Please send one list rather than several. A single message with every name saves a round of corrections, and a name corrected after the permit is filed takes longer to put right than one corrected before.
The brief. With the names, send the diets and allergies, the arrival flights and the suite pairings: who shares a suite, who needs one alone. From that list the crew plans the menus and the office plans the pickup; nobody beyond the booking office and the crew list sees it.
The replacement yacht, spelled out
If the yacht cannot sail, we arrange a yacht of the same class on the same date at no extra cost, or a full refund. The choice is yours.
The guarantee does not cover a route changed by weather: the captain sets the order of the stops on the day, because weather and current decide, and a change of stops is not a failure to sail. If the yacht is replaced, a new quote is issued for the replacement, with its own band, suites and crew list.
Whose name is on the invoice
PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363) books, takes payment and arranges pickup. The Lamain crew works for the owner. We are the booking partner for Lamain Voyage 1 and Lamain Voyage 2, not their owner, and both the quote and the invoice carry our name.
Changing yacht after the quote means a new quote, since the band, the suites and the crew list all change with it.

FAQ
How do I book a private yacht in Labuan Bajo?
Message the guest count and dates, receive a written quote, then pay the 50 percent deposit. The balance follows 30 days before sailing. There is no need to name the yacht in the first message; we choose by headcount.
Can a card be used for the deposit?
Yes. A credit card payment link is sent on request and shows its fee on the invoice. PayPal adds 7.2 percent. Wise, Revolut, QRIS, Alipay, WeChat Pay through a payment partner and a rupiah bank transfer are also listed.
Who is the contract with?
With PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363), the booking partner. The yachts belong to their owner, whose crew sails them. We are responsible for your booking, the payment and the pickup.
What if one guest cancels?
A private charter is priced by band, not by seat. If the headcount crosses a band, the quote changes and we confirm the new figure in writing. Cancelling the whole booking follows the scale on the terms page.
Do I need passport details for every guest?
Yes. The sailing permit needs the ID of each guest. We ask for the name as printed on the passport and a copy of the page, by the date stated in the quote.
