A private charter here means the whole yacht for one party: the suites assigned before boarding, the crew briefed on every allergy, and nobody aboard who is not on your list. The office in Labuan Bajo writes the quote, holds the file and meets the party at the airport.
Named suites, assigned before you board
Every suite on both yachts is named, and each name goes on the manifest beside a guest's before anyone boards. Voyage 1 has Paris, Osaka, Athena, Praha, Venice and Bern. Voyage 2 has Borobudur, Eiffel, Big Ben, Liberty, Petra, Colosseum, Taj Mahal and Pyramid. The two master suites, Paris and Borobudur, each have a jacuzzi on a private balcony. No other suite on either yacht has one.
Voyage 1 carries 7 crew and a cruise director, 8 on the crew list for up to 16 guests; Voyage 2 carries 12 crew and a cruise director, 13 on the list for the same 16. The rate covers meals each day, soft drinks, juices, coffee and tea. Both yachts have local Wi-Fi on board, and no speed is promised.
Before boarding, the office needs a short brief from you:
- the name and age of each guest;
- diets and allergies, which we pass to the crew;
- the arrival flight of each guest;
- who sleeps in which suite.
One message with all of it, and the file is complete.
Voyage 1 and Voyage 2, card by card
Each card gives the yacht's length, suites, ceiling and lowest whole-yacht rate; the comparison page sets the two out row by row.

Lamain Voyage 2 VVIP phinisi

The charter rate, per yacht and per night count
A private charter takes the whole yacht, so the rate is per yacht. Within a band on Voyage 2 it does not move with each added guest, and on Voyage 1 it holds flat to 12.
| 2026 rates, whole yacht | 2D1N | 3D2N | 4D3N |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voyage 1, 1 to 12 guests | IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748) | IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) | IDR 170,000,000 (≈ USD 10,429) |
| Voyage 2, 1 to 10 guests | IDR 118,000,000 (≈ USD 7,239) | IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270) | IDR 286,000,000 (≈ USD 17,546) |
| Voyage 2, 11 to 16 guests | IDR 126,000,000 (≈ USD 7,730) | IDR 220,000,000 (≈ USD 13,497) | IDR 315,000,000 (≈ USD 19,325) |
There is also a day charter: IDR 80,000,000 (≈ USD 4,908) on Voyage 1 and IDR 95,000,000 (≈ USD 5,828) on Voyage 2, for 1 to 16 guests. It runs to Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo Island and back to Labuan Bajo the same day, with no night on board.
For a party of ten the trade is simple. Voyage 1 is the lower rate at every length; Voyage 2 adds suites and a larger crew list. Park tickets, flights and gratuities are paid on top, and the charter page shows each guest's share from 2 to 16.
Principals, families and hosts who take the whole yacht
Five kinds of party take a yacht whole. First, the multi-generation family: grandparents in Paris or Borobudur, children with a carer in Bern on Voyage 1, and nobody outside the family on board. Next, the executive or board retreat: ten principals, two days, local Wi-Fi and no speed promised. Then the VIP celebration, a host and sixteen guests with dinner at Kalong, a private gathering of friends, and an ultra-private charter for a principal with a small party.
In confidence: the guest list is seen by the booking office and the crew list only, and we promise nothing about social media.
Each occasion page takes one party of a stated size and works out its suite plan and its price. A family of fourteen for 3D2N is IDR 153,000,000 (≈ USD 9,387) on Voyage 1 and IDR 220,000,000 (≈ USD 13,497) on Voyage 2. Ten principals on Voyage 2 pay IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227) each, and sixteen guests at a celebration pay IDR 13,750,000 (≈ USD 844) each.

Ultra-private charter
A single suite on a sailing shared with other guests
Seats are sold per person, twin share, for 3D2N, with a minimum of two to a suite; the lowest across both yachts is IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399). The guide and the photo and video documentation are included on an open trip.
Voyage 1 sails on Monday and Friday and Voyage 2 on Friday. The next date is Friday, 11 December 2026, and 64 dates are listed in all. Because other guests share an open trip, a hosted event, a family reunion or a retreat needs the whole yacht.
Open trips start on the days shown in the calendar. A date taken by a private charter is not listed.

Seven named stops, ordered by the captain on the day
Seven stops have a page each: Kelor, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. A 2D1N or 3D2N opens with Kelor in the afternoon and Kalong at dusk, then Padar at first light on day 2, and Pink Beach, Komodo Island and Taka Makassar after it. Manta Point joins the 3D2N.
Weather and current set the order, and the captain fixes it on the day. The destinations page maps each stop to its day.
Three of the stops involve a walk. Kelor is a hill walk of 15 to 30 minutes, Padar a climb of 25 to 45 minutes that anyone may skip by staying aboard, and Komodo Island a walk led by park rangers, who choose the trail. The dragons are wild, so a sighting is never promised, and closed shoes are required.
The dry months, the windy months and a date to ask for
The dry season runs from April to November, and July and August are its busiest months. November to March is the quieter season: the sea is at its roughest in January and February, visibility drops, and mantas are at their best from December. The 2026 rate list has one price for every month, so the month is a choice about sea, visibility and crowds rather than money.
April, May and October are the calm, clear months between the two. The when-to-go page sets all twelve out in one table. For a party of ten to sixteen, the booking guide covers lead time and what to ask for when a date is not listed. Voyage 2 lists no open trip in 2026, so a private date on it before January 2027 is confirmed on request.
Three roles: the booking office, the owner, the crew
PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia (NIB 1805260128363) books, takes payment and arranges pickup; the Lamain crew works for the owner. The owner runs the yachts and the crew.
Our part is the file itself: the written quote, the deposit and balance, the pickup, the guest list and every request that comes before sailing.

FAQ
How much does a private yacht charter cost in Labuan Bajo?
On Lamain Voyage 1 the whole yacht for 3D2N is IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) for 1 to 12 guests; on Lamain Voyage 2 it is IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270) for 1 to 10. The rate is per yacht, not per person, and park fees, guide and documentation are extra.
How many days do you need in Komodo?
Three days with two nights reach Manta Point and Sebayur as well as the classic stops. Two days with one night cover Kelor, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island and Taka Makassar. A day charter covers only Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo Island.
Do we pay for the whole yacht if we are only two?
Yes. A private charter takes the whole yacht, so a party of two on Voyage 1 pays IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) for 3D2N. For two guests a suite on an open trip costs less: per person, twin share, from IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399), with a minimum of two per suite.
How do you choose the right private yacht in Komodo?
Start with the party. Up to 12 guests fit Voyage 1 at its base rate; 13 to 16 fit either yacht, Voyage 1 with the extra-guest rate and Voyage 2 at its 11 to 16 band. Then compare suites and crew: 8 on Voyage 1's crew list, 13 on Voyage 2's.
